a whole lotta finnick!

i love this picture so much-because it isnt posed. i told steven i wanted to take pictures of finnick after his bath and i came out of the room with the camera and he was kissing on this sweet baby.

i look forward to mine and finny's nap everyday! he always sleeps a lot longer than i do so this is my cute little view when i wake up.

we are kind of obsessed with this baby in our house. he gets lots of (germy) kisses and hands all over him. he must be building up a superhuman immune system with how much "lovin" he gets all day! when finnick starts to cry and stevens holding him, he'll say "ohh did mommy do it?" and the other day i let bastien hold him and i heard him saying that. it was so cute. i cant believe bastien starts kindergarten in just a few weeks! there was a period of time where that day couldnt have come soon enough with all the instigating. but lately he has also been such a great helper and a sweetie i will definetly miss him all day:( i cant believe the summer is almost over. i wish the heat went away when school started. one tradition that we've started this summer is friday movie night. not very creative, i know. but the kids have loved it. we pick out a movie at that new express library in the VF factory mall. then pop popcorn and steven gets the twin's mattress out, we turn off all the lights and stay up late (for them) and watch a movie together! so far we've watched "Gnomeo and Juliet", "Hook" and "Fantastic Mr. Fox" they look forward to it and ask to do it every night!

berkey boys

it's been a fun and fast 2 years! they were my boys first friends. its crazy Bastien was only 3 when we first started hanging out with them, the twins-16 months and Lars was only a 3 month old baby! this is a picture of one of our first playdates-april or may 2009.

we've had lots and lots of playing since but i pulled out the camera the last couple of times we hung out and got some pretty silly pictures.

jasper seems to always be crying in group pictures.

these next few pictures are bastien's face after me saying"put your arm around his neck and say Best friends! " i think bastien really likes cheesy/awkward moments.

we went to toy town and firehouse subs a couple days before they left. i kept saying."this is the last time we're gonna hang out so say goodbye!" but i think we saw them like 3 times after this.

july so far

steven got to have a long weekend for the 4th and it's always fun to wake up to steven being there for 4 days in a row! we went to see cars 2 on friday with the boys and they all did pretty good. not as mesmerized as they were with toy story 3 last summer. i thought it was okay-but the boys and especially bastien said he liked it a lot! for the 4th we went to a bbq at steven's brother's house then went to my mom's for another bbq for her birthday. that is a definition of a food coma right there. everyone in my family randomly brought a dessert, too. so we were overloaded on sweets as well as food. which is never a bad thing. "lets eat til we throw up!"

the berkeys gave us some sweet firework fountains before they left and it totally MADE our fourth of july. we didnt go see a firework show, which i was bummed about but the kids thought this was good enough.

finnick and kensley-3 months apart.

i was driving out of the apartments when i saw this crazy dark cloud coming. it turned out to be a huge dust storm, that the news liked to call a haboob. and then continued to show the clip of it in between every other news story for the next 5 days.

i love comfy looking babies. we got home and finn's clothes were soaked from sweat from sitting in his carseat out in the blasted heat. so i stripped him (halfway) and he instantly felt cool and comfy.i love to hurry up and get him out of his seat and cooled off. cause i know it feels so good to cool down in the a/c after coming out of that heat!

we tried the bumbo but his head is still a little wobbly, here is good brother bastien making sure his head feels okay.

goodbye friends

we said goodbye to our friends-the berkeys last week and we will really miss them! i have something fun i'm working on.. and trying to get all my pictures from my old computer to do it.i wish i took more pictures!

i will miss all our girls nights, pool days, caravan-ing it to the park and most of all-the silliness. til 2013.

somebody saaaave me!

steven has been watching our smallville dvds a lot lately-again. and embry will not stop singing the opening theme song"save me".... at dinnertime, in target, on the toilet, everywhere! it's driving us all crazy! but he will sing it in front of anyone-on demand, like my little puppy who does tricks. i like that he doesnt have my shy genes.

he listens to the song on my itouch and has learned new words to the song since i recorded this video. this song inside my head will be the death of me! but i love his little singing voice.

finnick is 3 months!

that was the shortest month ever:) finnick was 3 months on the 28th. he is getting even cuter and he's just a really happy baby!

-he laughs now. i've only been able to make him laugh a couple times. it's my daily goal now!

-he is the most patient little eater, he wakes up happy and just talks in his bed a while even though it's been several hours since he's eaten. then i will lay him by me on the couch while i pump and he has to wait just a little bit longer and just sits there and waits, sucking his binky like crazy. but not crying!

-he has lost almost all his hair on top. just like jasper and bastien.

(embry just didnt have a whole lot to begin with)

his head is also a little lopsided on one side.

i try to put his head to the other side each time i lay him down.

i know tummy time will help too. i need to be better about that!

-he sleeps from about 9pm-6am. occasionally he will wake up around 4 or 5, and at first i would feed him but he just was really sleepy while feeding him so i stopped and if he wakes up i just put the binky back in his mouth a few times and he falls back asleep.

(sometimes i would be lazy and bring him to my bed to lay by me but

that always makes me so nervous-i never sleep well)

-he loves his binky (the mams or avent silicone ones) and needs it to fall asleep when we are out places. i have forgotten it 3 times and it wasnt fun. there are pros and cons to binkys but the pros are amazing! i love binky babes.

-after he eats i sit him in his little bouncy chair and he just sits there content watching his brothers. its nice cause i have about 30 or so mins to get stuff done, then he gets tired. i put him down for a nap in his crib. and i have some more time to get stuff done.

-you could say he is basically on a schedule now. his naps are not the same times everyday..and they are in his car seat a lot. as long as he continues to sleep good in his crib i dont care where he naps! i think i will be more concerned with a time schedule when Bastien starts school.

(a little over a month, weird!)
