The dark knight and the white knight

(looks more like a white ninja when Steven wears it)
A batman mask from savers, a paint mask that Steven used at work, and vacuum extensions..that's all it takes.

taking a break to flip his burritos

This is his "scary batman face", he tells us.

NEW SHEETS!

It's a miracle, really... that these were purchased. I havent bought sheets since 2006..and they were an ugly green. I dont remember picking that color out? I've been eyeing these at Target for quite a while and they finally went on sale! 50%off!

Speaking of my bed. I am pretty sure I have the most CoMFY-iest bed ever made. 2 layers of 1-1/2 inch memory foam. (That's 3 inches in case you didnt do the math) Don't be jealous.

Jasper crawls!

He finally caught up to his brother! (he'll get the speed down soon) Every time I try to film him crawling by putting a toy down, Embry always gets to it before he can. Jasper kinda skipped the army crawling part and went straight to his hands and knees.

No more love for the holters..and Renesmo

Dont let this smile fool you while he wears this. He's just smiling cause he's my little camera ham.
This is his what, 5th time wearing this baby and he's never complained or cared. But this time,
he was extremely annoyed at it all night.Who wouldnt be? Especially when you're a belly sleeper. You could just tell in his cry at night that it was a "get this crap off me" kinda cry. He did like chewing on it, though. With his 6 little Renesmo teeth. Except our little Renesmo only has one tooth. Oh, that's right...we nicknamed Embry, "Renesmo". Because, well....when I was reading Breaking Dawn, I couldnt picture a little baby girl with all of her teeth and long ringlets for hair very well. I tried to-then I read the part where she puts her little hand on Bella's face and I immediately started thinking of Embry. Because Embry does this with his cute little hands to me while holding him-it's precious. (I wish he could "show" me his thoughts..wouldnt that be CuTE!?) Also-I have no girls, so when Bella speaks of the love she has for her daughter, I think of my boys...so that probably has a little something to with it. I'm sure it's something every mother does. For example, Bastien has been watching "Tarzan" every day and personally, I think baby Tarzan looks just like Jasper. And when my sister Ana was over and it was on she said she used to think Christian looked like baby Tarzan. I'm sure every mom who has a brown hair-blue eyed baby thinks it, too. Well, every mom who likes to compare their children to disney characters. or mythical creatures. :)

So, anyways..Steven is reading Breaking Dawn and out of the blue Steven says "I always picture Embry for Renesmee" (I had never told him how I did that, nor had I ever talked about Embry's cute little face touching thing) Funny, huh? And really random! So that's why Embry is now called "Renesmo" HA! Cute name, huh? I know, what with my past with Twilight names you might think I now want to name my girl Renesmee or Nessie. Dont worry, I think it's safe to say I think it's probably the grossest name ever. And, I'm pretty positive Renesmo isnt gonna stick.

SVT-free for 7 months!

Jasper was weaned off his heart medicine a couple weeks ago! The doctor had me start giving him only 2 doses of propranolol a day, instead of 3, for a week. Then the next week 1x a day for a week. Then after that he was done! He will still continue to go in to wear heart moniters for a day (called holter moniters) every month or so to check for signs of an SVT episode. But it looks as though he has OUTGROWN SVT! It stands for Supra ventricular tachycardia. It basically means that his heart was not pumping enough oxygen to the brain/rest of his body because his heart was beating way too fast. A normal heart rate for an infant is anywhere from 100-140 bpm. His was beating 240 bpm! Scary, huh? If your lost, YOu can read about our scare with Jasper when he was 2 weeks old here.

Jasper in the NICU

I didnt go into a lot of details when it happened. But while sitting in the NICU with Jasper after all the craziness was over. Me almost having a heart-attack while I was standing there clueless, watching 10 people hurrying to make my baby's heart rate go down, thinking my baby was the one having the real heart attack. Well, after everything settled down. I felt so extremely blessed and thankful that Heavely Father watched over Jasper those 2 days (at least!) he had a heart rate of 240! The doctor told me little ones dont make it very long with their hearts working so hard that long. I'm so grateful to have Jasper. He's brought such a sweet spirit in our family these past months. I cant wait to see more of his little personality come out.
Just gave Jasper his last dose!

Love me some sumps!

I got the twins these 2 cute little "disney babies" from our trip. They're so cute, they are swaddled in a little blankie that they can actually use as "loveys". Embry's is baby Dumbo (perfect, right?) and Jasper's is baby Pluto. Jasper seems more interested in it.

Jasper cut 2 more teeth! So in total has 4. He is growing in his top-front left tooth, and a top-side right tooth. Kinda random how far apart they are. Jasper is a pretty good teeting baby, like Bastien. He hasnt really lost any sleep over it. Embry is the one who is taking teething the hardest...even though he hasnt cut any teeth. He wakes up at least 3 times a night. But luckily his binky usually soothes him back to sleep.
Embry is getting into everything! He pulls himself up everywhere and is crawling on his hands and knees! Jasper can sit up if I put him in a sitting position, and rocks back and forth on his hands and knees. Which is what Embry was doing about a month ago, So I bet he'll be crawling by 8 months. Jasper's our little turtle, when he's on his belly it looks like he's just kicking the air and going nowhere, but i'll leave the room and come back and he's moved alot further down the room.

Disneyland!

We finally got to go! It seemed like everytime we planned to go, something happened and it fell through. Oh yeah, and being pregnant with and having newborn twins is a bit like house arrest. So...Thanks to my sister Ana, it was nice for us to have a little one-on-one time with Bastien this week! (The 'one kid days' are a breeze, let me tell you.)
We left on Wednesday morning and got to our hotel (around the corner from Disney) at 3pm. We went to a mall they have close by called "Garden Walk" and saw that 3D movie "Fly me to the Moon" I am not one to pay to watch cartoons in the theater-especially if they're not Disney. But Bastien hadnt been to a theater since he's been able to sit thru a cartoon..and it was 3D, so we knew he'd have fun. And, it ended up being kinda cute with some funny parts.
Right when the movie started, and he put on his 3D glasses. There was a dragonfly on the screen and he was squirming and yelled" Ahh..get off me!" He thought things were going to touch him in a couple other parts. But for the most part, he was glued.
The next day was disneyland! We were earlybirds due to excitement and we're used to the entire household waking up at 5:30 every morning. We killed some time at IHOP. I guess I should've checked the hours online but I just assumed it opened at 8...but I think that may only be on weekends. Then we hear "morning magic tickets only" and basically waited around until 10 to get in. Bastien didnt handle it very well so he was pretty crabby by 11am. First, we went on Peter Pan ,Alice in Wonderland, teacups, Mr. Toad, and by the time we got to Snow white he had had enough of Disneyland. He kept asking to go home.
so excited at IHOP ..and in a great mood!

Showing him that Peter Pan isnt scary.

We thought the Buzz Lightyear ride would cheer him up. Buzz lightyear used to scare him but he's been watching Toy Story lately and he hadnt been scared so I thought we'd be okay. But while we were walking into the line he started to cry...luckily there was no line so we just hurried up and got on (one of the perks of going on a Thursday!) He really liked the shooting part. And when he has to assure himself not to be scared..he says "He like me" So when we were leaving the ride he was saying.."Buzz not bad, he my friend" When we were eating lunch I saw the real BUzz outside thru the window and I said "LOok there's Buzz!" and he lost it. He said a really high pitched "NoOooO!" It was only noon and I knew there was no way he would last. We were kinda bummed..but after a 2 hour nap at the hotel. He was a brand new kid.

So we walked back to Disneyland and still had 5 hours left! We went on the train that goes around the whole park, Then we had to trick him into going on Pirates (Mean, yes. But also effective). I knew if he heard the word 'Pirates' there'd be no way. We told him it was a train ride...and that worked. Luckily there were no lines so by the time we got into a boat and not a train we were off and he was okay about it. He wasnt too scared, but I dont think it was one of his favorites. It was mine, though! Steven and I took turns on Splash Mountain. I got placed in the front by the staff and didnt think about that being the worst spot until it was too late. We did Winnie the Pooh, Toontown and the Parade was the best! All the princesses were in it and I thought of my niece Lana-who acts out all the Princess movies-she wouldve loved it!
This is the smile I get when I say "Bastien smile". It's this or the "I'm abused and neglected" face.

Not scared of Pluto!

When they first showed Captain Jack Sparrow..I thought it was really Johnny Depp. Now THaT would've been cool.

This is the most I've ever gotten to do/see at Disneyland! I dont think i'll ever go on a weekend again! The Nemo line was still pretty crazy so we didnt get to do that. But it turned out to be a good day because of that nap. I'm glad we didnt try to make him last any longer because we would've had a miserable kid and if we had left at 3 or something, we might not have come back. I knew Bastien was a bit a scaredy cat...but him being scared and tired dont mix well.
We stopped at Newport Beach before going home this morning. The water was freezing. But
Bastien had a BLAST!

He's running to tell me he needs to take off his clothes.

...much better!

I think he had FUN!
