Finnick Uaisele Langford

Finnick is finally here. I'm so happy to not be pregnant anymore & that he came here safe and sound. I went in at 5:30am on Monday morning March 28th for my repeat c section. for some reason i had more anxiety about this c section than the last one & the night before i was really psyching myself out. i just wanted to get the whole beginning part over with(the needle in my back/nausea & something new this time-thinking i cant breathe) its funny- a friend told me that she had felt like she couldn't breathe in her last csection & that hadn't happened to me with the last 2. well after getting my spinal, i wasn't even thinking about that or anything but it happened. it was pretty scary but the nurse next to me was so great & she kept telling me to look at my oxygen levels & that they were at 99 percent & that i actually could breathe, it was just that my chest was a little numb so it just "felt" like i couldn't. so after the first miserable 15 minutes of feeling nauseated, cold & breathless i finally felt pretty warm & comfortable when they they started to take the baby out & when they were sewing me up i just felt really sleepy & comfy. it's the best feeling hearing your baby cry after he comes out. i love that part & it makes everything worth it. although the first 2 days i was pretty sore i was thinking. "yeah i'm done" but i forget things pretty fast cause now i'm thinking i could definitely try for that girl
-or that 5th boy. :)
our new camera has hd video & steven filmed him coming out. like where only his head is poking out of my stomach & they are pulling him out. it's a very vivid & clear video so you can see everything well. the video is actually pretty cool (and gross) but i wont share the inside of my uterus with you, you're welcome.
he was born at 7:47am & was 8lbs 2 oz.
i remember thinking "wow he has a loud cry" he really does!
we thought he might have curly hair at first but after his bath it was straight. this is the most hair any of my kids have had. & the first pregnancy i had heartburn with-so maybe it's true what they say.
trying to open his eyes for the very first time
Grandpa Fa. the name Uaisele is my dad's dad's name.
(Wesley in Tongan)
i love this picture. embry's face is the best.
2 days old.
i love him. like so much.
first day home
his after meals face. so full & sleepy.
i nursed him the whole time in the hospital, and he did so good! latched on really well. stayed awake 20 minutes on each side. but the night before i left they were worried that he lost 10% of his weight (was down to 7lb 5 oz) & wanted me to supplement until he gained some weight. well i continued nursing up until he was about 6 days old. i stopped because he would nurse for like 5 mins on one side, then fall asleep. & not want anymore after that until an hour later. well i spent that whole hour trying to keep him awake to eat some more. so basically i was glued to the couch & oh, i freaking hate breastfeeding. i so want to like it. and i think people who do it are amazing! i'm sure it wouldve gotten better, but i just gotta do what doesn't stress me out. i want him to have breastmilk so i just decided to pump like i did for the twins, and i like it so far. he has been on a schedule of every 3 hours (at night sometimes 4 and half!) and actually drinks like 3-4 oz of bmilk each time! i pumped for 4 months with the twins. my goal is 6 months this time, depending on how good he does with formula.
8 days old-
we are all in love with baby finnick! arent you?!

visiting steven's work

the day before i had finnick we tried to fill the day up with stuff to do. we went to chompies for breakfast. dont get the pancakes there unless you want to feed your whole family of 5. they're good. but reallly thick & insanely huge..to a fault! i kinda just wanted something else to go with all that pancake. but i definetly want to go back & try something else. everything looks really good there! then after we went to steven's hangar and saw all the helicopters he flys. the boys got to sit in them& loved it

weekend blog

this blog is turning into what we do on the weekends. they're the only things that have been getting me through these last few weeks! but! one week from today i will already have squeezed.. or umm unzipped..? this freaking kid out! i cant wait to be able to wear more than these 2 pairs of pants. steven let me get a jogging stroller for when we all go to the track. i cant wait! of course most of all i cant wait to meet this new little guy!
saturday morning bedhead!
we redbox'd that movie "the next three days" the whole time i was hating it but it ended up being allright. but in the beginning the mom had a morning ritual where she was planning to take a picture of their kid every morning for his first 18 years. that seemed a little extreme but i thought the idea was cool. i think every sunday before church sounds like a good time i would remember..plus its the only time they dont have food on their clothes or face.
so here is week#1
it'll be fun (& sad) to see how they grow each week.
also on friday night we went on our last date before the baby comes. we hung out with our favorites camille & chris who we havent seen in almost 2 years! they are the funnest, we always laugh til we pee with them (me-literally, with having to cross my legs even before i sneeze:). we went to that mesa arts center exhibit Amococo Architecture of Air thing! i was kicking myself for not bringing a camera, cause it was pretty cool. the line was super long & steven was laughing his body jolting-ear piercing laugh every 5 seconds. i'm sure everyone in front & back of us we're annoyed but oh well, it was fun! just what we needed before life changes a bit.

weekend pictures

i finally got the camera i've been wanting for a long time! actually steven talked me into getting an even better one & i'm happy he did. we have taken so many pictures this weekend. so here are 'just a few' that shows what we did the past couple days. i feel so heartbroken for all that has happened in japan this weekend & what is still going on. sometimes we forget how precious the people in our lives are & even though they all take turns driving me nuts, i'm so thankful for these sweet little boys that i have!
bastien's favorite place, outside!
this is embry telling steven that jasper had been playing the ipod for "so many minutes!"
saturday was my dad's birthday & we met at abuelos since he loves mexican!
you can tell by what they're wearing, everyone went to the aloha fest this day:)
ready to shoot some "ghosies" (thats what they call ghosts:)
..wearing his proton pack while watching ghostbuster cartoons!
one of our regular trips to the track. or until i can jog again,
the bball courts to watch steven shoot hoops.
embry was so confused why grandpa didn't have a cake.
so we made one "for him" after church, we enjoyed your cake grandpa!

friend bumps

nicole & i at church today.
nicole, amy & i are all due within 3 weeks of eachother.
and i had forgotten to get a bump picture with nicole until today..
the day before she gets induced! (lucky!)
we are all having boys, too!
too bad they cant play together like our other boys:(
bastien still randomly says he misses paka.
between us we will have 10 boys, is that crazy or what?

the weekend

we went to the flight deck cafe saturday morning.
you can watch planes land & take off from the windows
jasper thought he was going to get to ride a plane..
but daddy's ipod makes everything better.
we bought a little model airplane there
& the kids played outside the rest of the day.
bastien showing us his cool tricks on his scooter
also i went & saw this! steven was about to watch a suns game at 6:30. i had been at home for the past 2 days. so i looked up the times & there was one at 6:40! so i just went by myself! i missed the previews so there wasnt any awkward moments sitting there by myself, it was nice!
i liked the movie although she is a little hard to take as an actress. it was a little cheesy, but really...its a beauty & the beast story. you cant expect it not to be. and this guy (who i hear is sort of a freakshow in real life) is really easy to watch, even as a beast.
