Disneyland

We had a blast taking the kids to disneyland, kids definitely make it more fun. I was relieved that the twins werent scaredy cats like Bastien was last time we took him when he was 3. They were open to riding everything, even Haunted Mansion. They were all great sports considering it rained almost the whole time & the only option of staying dry besides our 1 umbrella was to buy three- 6 dollar trashbag ponchos for the kids. freaking greed face mickey. No, I think when you go to Disneyland you just have to be open to spending 15 dollars on a squirtbottle that Bastien had to have, or a 7 dollar piece of pizza, or 5 dollars to use the restroom.its all part of the happiness!

We really did have a great time with the kids & there were no lines!

After getting to our hotel that was right by dland, we walked to Downtown Disney& ate dinner & just hungout. I also saw that this Jazz Kitchen place had "Beignets"!(like a french scone/doughnut covered in powdered sugar) I've always heard of them-(like on Princess & the Frog) &wanted to try them. They were amazing, but the kids ate all four of them before i could take a picture.

Bastien was brave enough to go on splash mountain, his face is so cute here., he kinda cried after the big drop but laughed when he saw this picture.

my fav ride had to be how they redid the haunted mansion ride"nightmare before christmas" it was way cool, they should just leave it like this all year.

the next day we drove to the beach, since newport is pretty close. we drove to the same exact spot we stayed at in August. It was way different! as in Freeezing! The kids didnt seem to mind except for Embry.

if you noticed something weird about bastien's eye in these pictures..there was. the morning we left he got eaten by mosquitos the night before. And one bit him on his eyelid & started swelling, its happened before on his hand, to where we thought he jammed his finger cause it was so swollen. at disney land some lady said " his eye is really swollen"

..for reals??? i just thought it was normal for him to look like sloth from goonies?

i knew he'd be okay with benadryl, but i was just worried it would be painful for him on his fun disneyland day, but he wasnt bothered by it.

Bastien makes me laugh so much! He's been very skeptical about Santa lately. He kept asking me questions the other day & he said "whats that stuff santa gives us if we're naughty?" & I said "coal" then Bastien said " what does coal do?" me, " it helps start fires" then Bastien said, with lots of sarcasm & attitude" OH, Santa wants us to start fires?"

i love that my boys are such good buddies, there was a while where it seemed like they fought more than they loved..but its so cute to hear them laugh in their room at night& see them occasionally share toys with eachother:)

one night when it was bedtime, embry hid by daddy under his hat. i love that perfect little curl on his head.

my niece Maizi's 4th bday was back in august. my nieces are so cute!

we have started our pumpkin carving early again this year! well, steven has. this one is already a week old, has been sitting outside every day & the kids tortured it a bit with markers & forks. so imagine it originally looking better than this.

oh & the these nerf bullets that jasper is holding dont last longer than a few hours at my house. the twins cant resist biting them apart. I was saying to steven "dont you remember like wanting to bite erasers & stuff when you were little?" (or the clear bow that i had when i was 5 that had sprinkles in it) But Steven loooves to act like i'm really weird & say

"ummm no. i never did that, now we know where the twins got it, though"

yesterday there was a big box of diapers, unopened on our couch. & Embry was walking around saying "change me, I pooped" But steven & i were both eating lunch so we were just waiting for the other person to do it. a few minutes go by & embry is sitting on the couch by the box of diapers & he's managed to eat through the corner of the box like a little puppy. we all started laughing & Embry says, spitting out some cardboard.."change me, mommy!" he really is a little creature!

*oh & today is my mother in law's (would be) birthday! She would have been 54. We miss you so much Delma...so much! The holidays are alot barer without you. I know Steven loved his mom so much. I've never heard him say a single negative thing about her, ever. even before she passed. Yesterday, I was saying to Steven "Boys really are so sweet to their moms..they'll give me a kiss whenever I want" & he's all "Boys love their moms..they are their favorite person!" I hope my boys always love me as much as Steven loved his mommy!

remember me, blog?

i havent been taking pictures of anything, so i guess that makes my life not blog worthy lately. We lived with my parents a month before we were finally able to move into our own place. Its our same exact apartment floor plan that we lived in before Oklahoma, just flip flopped, which was super weird at first. I still keep reaching for light switches at the other side of the walls & put the dishes with food in them at the wrong side of the sink because even the garbage disposal is on the other side.

I still love that Steven is home during the day after that long summer. Its been really convenient, too. since i'm such a party these days. I'm sure Steven doesnt even hear me say "my tummy hurts" anymore. I think i've even tuned myself out. After 7 weeks of it,its pretty much old news.

We go to the pool twice a week (its sad that its still hot enough to go) & we started up our Wednesday BBQ's again. (we miss you amy)

Oh & its Halloween! "its halloween, its halloween" we have been singing yo gabba gabba halloween songs since july. my favorite to sing to the kids is "too much candys gonna make you sick!" I'm so excited to make the twins costumes. I just hope they turn out like i'm picturing. heres a hint, an easy one: they are going to be their names. I tried to persuade Bastien to be in on this years theme but he just wants to be a "inja..gosh!" (ninja) so i tried to find the least lamest Ninja costume out there.

I am getting jealous seeing everyones blogs with their halloween decorations. Especially since my small collection disappeared in one our moves this year. I think I have a problem getting rid of too much stuff when i move. i dont even remember what i got rid of,I just know i need some of it back.

my belly has gotten a tiny bit hard at the bottom. i love this point on. its so weird that theres a lemon sized baby in my belly. i know its my 4th but its still exciting each time, right. I used to wonder how ladies could feel excited about their like, 9th kid since they already popped so many out, but i get it now. not that i'm planning on having 9. (nope!) but its like a new human with a new personality to get to know. i'm excited! i saw this baby movie on sunday & the lady had a boy. and I got sad thinking i already had 3 boys so i wasnt going to get anymore. i obviously want a girl, but i'd be so sad if i didnt ever get another boy. baby boys are the sweetest! i want another one.

there are some fun things coming up, so ill remember to take pictures so steven can make fun of me when i do, saying "this one's gonna go on my blog for sure!"

i saw this article today that said this girl Chloe Moretz is in the lead to be chosen for Katniss in Hunger Games? Katniss is 16 & this girl is a 13 year old that looks 10. It must be a joke because it also said that Kristen Stewart was in the running, too. ahhh...kill me!

We never been those people that have family or friends that own (or rent) beach houses!

Soo we've been looking forward to this end of summer work trip. We stayed at a house right on newport beach. I was feeling extra barfy driving to Cali (also dying because we had just made the trek from Oklahoma a few days before, i will be fine with no roadtrips for a loooong time) Once I got to the beach house, i was feeling happy. I think its easy to be distracted by nausea when you're having fun...which is nice. I just need to stay at the beach for the next 4-5 weeks. But still, the lack of an appetite for anything is a bummer on a fun trip.. Especially when you get taken out to sweet restaraunts every day! Another bummer was I forgot my camera! I remembered to charge it the night before but left it. Luckily-none other than Connie took pictures for me:) We had so much fun on the trip. The group was so fun to hang out with..you could always count on laughing & having a good time. Steven was saying how much he missed the guys today. awww..

Our friend Connie took our pictures last Saturday. I really wanted some pictures taken here in Okly since its so pretty & green! I was so sick this day, i could feel my fever coming back & I was trying so hard not to sneeze or i wouldnt stop. also the 100 degree humidity, being a genius & wearing a longsleeve plaid shirt didnt help much. But i was so happy with how they turned out. Connie did such a great job! These are just a few, I loved all of them. our last weekend in okc

after being stuck in the house, sick all week..the weekend was a major high! there is a railroad park nearby that has train rides every other saturday. I knew my boys would love this since they're all still in love with choo-choos. i could tell they loved being at a train station being able to ride a real train. to embry every train is the "po espwess"

afterwards, we walked through the train yard & looked around.

they had this old box car that some guy told us they are currently filming a movie inside it.

this is the inside. not a very good angle but there was so much detail in here it was crazy! Its killing me, i need to know what movie!

bastien was pretty upset (putting it lightly) when we had to go. i dont know, but it seems like his tantrums are crazier than ever. they are filled with.."you're the meanest mom & i dont want a family anymore!" the best/weirdest one was when we left the zoo & bastien yelled at me "I hope a spider bites you mommy!" they mostly make me laugh because what else is there to do!?

we ate cupcakes for dinner at a place called "cuppies & joe" (cause cupcakes are always a good dinner, right?)

at the mall, people had built oklahoma city out of legos, it was pretty cool.

and jappy got a haircut! it was way overdue.
