getting out of bed

We bought the boys a new bed to share to make room for Finnick. They had so much fun in the beginning i thought they'd never sleep at night. They love to find reasons to get out of bed.water, hugs, more hugs & now everyone all the sudden has to pee large amounts at bedtime.

steven was telling them to say"1, 2, niner, niner.." or something like that.

i dont know why i bother putting jammies on them, they strip before they fall asleep almost every night.

on friday we had a valentines party with friends , i forgot to take pictures this time but they loved passing out cards. Bastien actually wanted to write his name on most of his valentines, that was a big surprise!

not soon enough

so my csection date is officially set for March 28th at 7:30am! last time it was supposed to be that early but my drs flight was delayed & didnt end up happening until 6pm that night. those hours waiting were torture! I have 46 days left & that just seems almost as torturous as those hours. every night i stare at my calender checking off that day, thinking time is going to move faster. i'm so so done, I feel like i'm ready for a change! I cant wait to see my boys reaction to a new baby, its cute to see them excited about it now & kissing my belly all the time. Especially Bastien, he's going to be so cute with a baby brother, even though he wanted a sister in the beginning:) I've already gained 30 lbs & I know the last part of pregnancy is where i seem to gain alot, so i'm trying to take it easy...actually not really. i eat when & what i want most the time, but at least i dont feel insanely hungry like i did with the last 2 pregnancies. As long as i dont get anywhere close to the dreaded 60 lbs i'll be happy! I'm like almost euphoric after i have the baby, maybe it has something to do with losing 30-40 lbs of water retention very soon after or that i have a new cute little baby!

Can these next 6 weeks please fly by? I cant wait to be here!

since we can only have boys apparently, the fun part is guessing who or what this next baby will look like. Brown, blonde, dark brown, black or red hair??! tan or fair like Bastien? This is Jasper & Embry a few hours after being born. You would never know that Embry (on the right) would turn out to be my tan little curly head polynesian !

diaper-free! (for a bit)

We havent been diaper free for almost 6 years! Embry & Jasper have been fully potty trained for about 2 weeks. About a month ago I started & the first 5 days there were 3 days out of it where they both had no accidents! Then 2 weeks later when i finally bought a waterproof mattress pad i started doing nights & naps & they havent had a bed accident yet. I was really dreading it with 2 at the same time..but they seemed to really want to do it. With the accidents they have had Jasper gets very apologetic if he wets himself, like he's so embarrased. Its really cute. And Embry goes.."is okay mom..its just pee". Bastien was the same way & he did really good with everything except for an occasional bed wetting. So i'm sure they will have some mistakes at night. I'm just excited i get to go a whole 7 more weeks without diapers!

two little three year olds

i love my little emmy & japper! bastien used to call them that right after they were born, but now they're three! friday was their 3rd birthday, and they were so excited about it. for about 2 weeks before, every day embry would say "right now me want to go to a-donalds"(mcdonalds) so on the morning of their bday steven and i took everyone to a-donalds. and then after being there almost 2 hours when we were leaving embry said (with his little attitude face that he does alot) "this was not a-donalds..right now me want to go to a-donalds" ...nice try but i'm pretty sure that was a-donalds! i always hear about free stuff on your birthday but never remember to do it, so we did the free krispy kreme dozen! (they gave us 2 dozen! so before i ate them all we shared with friends) and we went to joe's farm grill & got 20 dollars off our bill because of both birthdays..joe is the best!

the next day we had a little family party at the same park we had their bday at last year. of course jasper wanted a buzz cake & my mom wanted to make it. and embry wanted a yo gabba gabba cake, then wall-e, then nemo, then a despicable me cake.. since i already bought the stuff for brobee that was what he was getting. i wanted to throw the cake at the wall halfway through but steven came to the rescue as always. i didnt want to do fondant because the cake never tastes that great..so i had my head set on frosting which i regretted, cause it was so hard to frost with all those colors! and i made so many cupcakes no one ate the cake anyways:)

i love that jasper chooses things that are not chocolate. he chose strawberry milk & doesnt just like chocolate milk because his brothers do. its fun to see your kids tastes & personalities develop.

luckily my camera is crappy, cause its hiding most of my mistakes!

he's been wanting a big buzz lightyear forever. he pushes the buttons until buzz says "to infiniti & beyond!" & then flys around the house with him, he's so cute.

finally!

Steven has been flying alot lately with a company called Rotorway. He has also been an apprentice learning to be an A&P mechanic for helicopters. You need 2 years of experience working as a mechanic before you can even test to become a helicopter mechanic. He wasnt planning on loving it as much as he does & he has taken out & put back engines in helicopters by himself already a few times! Of course he has, he's ridiculously good at almost everything! He had to retake his CFI (certified flight instructor) test because it expires after a couple years & before he started flying in October, he hadnt flown since 2008! Well he passed & can now be a CFI for rotorway, too! CFI's arent too busy these days because there arent a whole lot of students there. But at least it's something! And he gets to fly for them as much as he wants which gives him valuable hours. I can tell the difference in Steven when he gets to fly, he's very confident & happy!

blog goals

A few nights ago I found my journal & saw that I hadnt written anything since a few days before embry & jasper were born! I have been trying to catch up & have written 7 pages already & still i'm not even close. Then today I saw that my blogs for 2010 were half of what they were in 2009. My kids are at the cutest age where they are saying the cutest & funniest things & i'm barely documenting it! So since I cant really do my same old new years resolution until April..my goals are to journal & blog more! I dont care if I bore anyone with 100 pictures of my kids in each post. My blog is about my kids & my family..not about ugly "vintage" clothes i wore today. jussst kidding.

Embry has been thinking he's an adult. He does this thing where he waits for the other kids to fall asleep & then walks out of his room (or even dances out of his room, to make us laugh & soften us up) & sits on the couch & watches tv with us. For a few nights, he was just too cute..so we let him stay up with us. The next morning at the breakfast table I hear him bragging to Bastien & Jasper. "Wast night, mommy gave me juice...and candy...and you were sleeping Japper, and you were sleeping Bastien." Good thing bastien didnt catch on to what he was talking about. But I had to stop it before i created a monster, which made him give me the ultimate look of betrayal when i made him go back to his bed the next night. Even after he danced out of his room for us! I love that kid. He's too cute for his own good, he's gonna get away with too much.

Jasper talks alot better now, and it's turned him into the cutest thing ever. Out of the blue he said "I'm excited for the baby, mommy"

One time he said stupid & i said "uh oh" and he's all

"sowwy mommy, dont tell Santa" He is obsessed with Buzz Lightyear &

makes me sing the "Buzz song" (you got a friend in me) at least twice a day.

He was so mad at Bastien once, he started doing that hysterical temper tantrum dance that 2 year olds do. But then he just started laughing so hard & said "I was dancing mommy!!"

Its fun to make him laugh at himself when he's whining or crying for something.

I finally look pregnant, and it only took me 27 weeks! Its seems like its taken me forever to show, probably because i was showing a lot faster with the twins..and i've been comparing everything to that pregnancy. I guess I remember showing really slowly with Bastien, too. So here is Finnick's baby bump. I cant believe I only have 11 weeks left. I cant wait to see what he looks like. Steven finally felt him kick the other day, i always like it when he feels the baby kick cause it kinda feels more real to him that there is an actual baby in there that he'll love just like he does the other 3!

I know i have some time, but its nice not really having to worry about baby clothes & getting things ready really, since i have more than enough boy clothes.

holidays!

lots of things besides christmas happened during our holidays, steven's brother kevin & his wife kendra had a baby girl. who is like, the cutest thing ever & makes me sad (a little) that i wont get to put headbands & pink on my next kid.

we went to an ugly sweater party. im defintely at the i hate my fat pregnantself part, its a good thing my kids are pretty cute! anyways, we got these mustache bandaids in the white elephant exchange & the boys kept stealing them out of my purse after having them do this.

Embry has blossomed into quite the performer. its funny that his middle name is Vuna (my dad's name) because he has one BIG similar trait. He likes being the star. He even made a face that looked just like my dad the other day, it was weird! On Christmas eve, we went to Steven's sister's house & Glee was on & every time they sang he'd come to the middle of the room & start dancing for everyone. He even got to where he'd say "Guys! Guys! Look!" He definitely likes attention like someone else i know:

on christmas eve, we stayed at steven's sisters house in Queen Creek until 10pm so by the time we came home & put out Santa's cookies, everyone was a little not excited anymore.

On Christmas morning I forgot to take pictures. I only videotaped it. But they were way cute opening presents & Bastien said " I love this day!"

you know that black coal bubble gum? there mustve been some in his stocking from last year because when Bastien was looking at the stuff in his stocking he pulled out a couple of tiny coal bubble gum pieces & said, "Look, Santa gave me a little coal, i was only a little bit naughty"

Then we went to my parent's house in the morning & the kids got spoiled again. Every year my mom says "its not gonna be like this next year" ha! i'll believe that when i dont see you start shopping for christmas in June:)

Steven's family from Ogden was in town staying at his sister's house in QUeen Creek, so we spent alot of time with them during the holidays. We hadnt seen his sister Christine & Jeremiah since Kevin & Kendra's wedding in June 2008! It was just like always, lots of laughing! We love them!

It was so cold this day! The jackets my mom bought the boys for polar express did really come in handy this weekend!

After this my camera battery died & I was so bummed because they took some really cute pictures of all the brothers & sisters. We had such a good time with family these last couple weeks, i'm not in withdrawls yet though cause we have another party to go to tonight.

Oh & Bastien is in CTR 5! I cant believe he's a big kid who sits almost in the back of the room during junior sharing time!
