september in instagrams

i love instagram! because most of these pictures- i probably wouldn't have taken the time to go get my camera for. my itouch doesn't take the greatest pictures, especially with bad light..but instagram makes everything look more fun! so, here is a month of what i see & do all day-

Bastien's 2 bottom teeth are growing back in. and is getting his back molars.

the boys had their dentist checkup this month-

all squeaky clean teeth!

i started doing that mommy school i found on pinterest. the boys had so much fun with the letter A. and when i say started, i mean. we still haven't done the letter B, yet. :/

we found this "back to the future" shirt at Target. Embry and I were so excited. He loves watching the train pushing the car part and the end of the 3rd one.

the boys went to their first circus.

he is so dang cute, he looks like a perfect little doll with that head of hair.

we found a little green friend that stayed on our porch all day. even Bastien got to play with him when he got home from school. finding a nice bug like this is a big deal for little boys!

playing with that cornstarch-gak stuff. ive been trying to be more relaxed about fun things for the boys that make big messes. i need to get over it..kids are supposed to be messy, right?

10 pm-Embry just barely fell asleep. my night owl.

after a trip to LeeLee's we stopped for a Boba slushie! We used to get them all the time at this Boba Cafe right near our apt in Oklahoma. I can only handle a few of those smooshy balls in my slushie but the boys love them. embry yelled "I love eating those brown balls!"

i tried a recipe on Pinterest, finally! These Pink Lemonade cupcakes turned out so cute and yummy. I'm only a fan of the cupcakes that have a dense-thicker texture (like Sprinkles cupcakes) and these were like that! The flavor basically came from using Pink Lemonade Concentrate, i wonder if they would turn out just as good with other flavoring?

Finnick is 6 months!

he has his 2 bottom teeth, and 4 more coming in up on top.

i was saying how well he was handling it. but then a couple days later-he started screaming about everything and woke up the next 2 nights. I guess 4 teeth coming in doesn't feel too great. He has a cute mad face, though.

this picture brings back so many memories of our treks to the park! (2009-2010) Bastien was a handful at the park in those days. But they had a lot of fun moments, too. This picture is the best. Paka is still a celebrity in our house.

we found Bastien's old woody doll in a box and Embry claimed it. and carried it around for 3 days like this cause he's cute. then he lost the hat and tried to break him, like he does with all his toys. i have to write about this so i dont forget- we took the boys to the dentist today for a cleaning. and they were all laying in the 3 chairs they have in the room and Embry says to the lady.."My teeth are dirty" like he was self conscious about it. the hygenists(?) were all tickled about what he said, and we all laughed.

we went to the circus last week and it was great. it was a small one, but i liked that. and we had awesome seats. i kept wishing that the ring master was the bad guy from Water for Elephants. (Doesn't he have the coolest voice?)

i kind of felt annoyed for this bear..like, why would he want to sit in a chair? but that lady was feeding him some kind of honey cereal and he was really cute eating it...so maybe he was happy. except..i kept thinking,I bet everyone in here is secretly wishing that THIS is the show where the bear goes nuts on that lady, right? 'She doesn't look like she really enjoys feeding me this cereal..' Or during the uneventful tiger show..the tiger takes a swipe at the mean guy glaring and bossing him around with that big pokey stick? that would be entertaining!

just kidding.. it was actually really entertaining. it was a long show. with an intermission, too. and my kids sat mesmerized the whole time.

we gave finnick a first taste of rice cereal and he wasn't too impressed. i tried it later with apples added. and still didn't like it. my first oatmeal kid. he likes it with more apples than oatmeal but doesn't want apples by itself. i found the perfect combo for this high maintenance baby! actually i think he just isn't excited about the whole eating babyfood thing, yet. This picture is of me tricking him to get his mouth open.

he loves to get a hold of my, Bastien's ..any ones hair he can get a hold of! i love how Bastien is with Finnick. it's just really cool seeing your once baby being sweet to his little brother! Finnick is a silly kid. if you show him a toy or plastic bag..something that makes a crinkly or squeaky noise. he gets all weirded out and makes this funny growling noise. i love his personality!

this little froggy (toad) is out on my parent's porch every night! he loves to sit on the doorstep. my parent's porch light is a motion sensor light that never seems to work so i always tip toe around when i'm coming up to the door at night because i dont want to step on this little guy! he's come into my parents house before and bastien picked him up and he peed all over him. Bastien will still pick him up if he sees him outside. that's love!

Every day after Bastien comes home from school they play in the backyard. and every day i say " dont turn the hose on today!" (Because they had turned the hose on the day before and gotten dirty/muddy) But every day I hear the hose at some point and i also hear "It was Embry!" Here is an example of an extreme hose day.

glee got kinda dumb and boring in season 2. but glee project was on this summer. and the whole top 4 won. and all 4 of them are going to be on glee sometime this season! i was so glad Damien will be on Glee.(since Cameron couldnt) he will be the second most fun to watch i think, him and his irish accent. My favorite though..was Cameron. he decided to go home during the competition .he definitely has a very unique way about him. I wish he would just come out with a CD already because i have been going to youtube so much to listen to his songs. he said in an interview a couple of his favorite singers/bands were Sondre Lerche and Phoenix. both great! the first 2 videos are his original songs! i put alot on here so i dont have to keep going to youtube:) glee project was a brilliant way for them to make people be more excited to watch new people on glee. but i agree with someone who wrote that-Cameron was too good for Glee!

sunday picture project

i have been pretty good about remembering almost every Sunday. maybe i'll make a book every year with all their weekly pictures? i need to think of a cool name for this.

Finnigins is 5 months!

at 5 months Finnick is:

-rolling over from his back to his tummy. as soon as i put him down anywhere..that is his cue to flip over. he's so proud of it!

-sleeping from 9 to 7am. a little earlier sometimes because the whole house has to wake up at the crack of dawn now for Bastien's school. but he sleeps with no interruptions in the middle of the night now! for a while he would sometimes wake up around 4 or 5 and want to come lay by me. but he just stopped do ing it all the sudden. lets hope it lasts!

-he cut his first tooth today!

-he seems pretty content with just drinking milk so i haven't started rice cereal yet. maybe soon.

-i'm still pumping enough milk for him all day except for his nightime bottle, which is formula. i stopped pumping for the twins when they were 4 months. so i'm proud of myself for lasting! i dont feel too sick of it yet either..maybe i can last the whole year?

my first kindergartener

Today was Bastien's first day of school. He was so excited last night when i showed him his outfit he was going to wear, and his packed lunch. He is growing way too fast, just the other day he was my only baby and my crazy little drooler! (til he was 2 and a half!)

when we walked on the playground and he saw all the kids playing..he said .. "wow everyone here is a pyshco." i love his little sarcastic personality.

saying goodbye as the class was leaving, i'm glad he has some friends from the ward in his class.

i think Embry is ready to go to Kindergarten now!

he was really upset when we had to go.
