My sister made Bastien a video after he was born, with footage of him in the hospital. Every time I watch it Bastien is much older than he was before & it makes me sad. I miss his chubby little face & this drooly big bottom lip. (well, I guess he still has that.) I think all my boys are the cutest, but there's just something about that first born. He's the one who won my heart first. If this next little boy looks exactly like Bastien, I wont complain.

christmassy things
we went to the north pole on the polar express! who knew the north pole was only 3 hours away? the low was only 30 degrees but grandma insisted they have proper north pole coats, so they were really warm. :) i made sure she bought like 2 sizes bigger so they can last a really long time. hopefully we'll get some more use out of them..cause they sure wont need them this "winter" here in Mesa.
in their jammies ready to board the polar express!
our train boarded at 8, so we had some time to kill before. we ate at a cute country restaraunt & walked around their little town.
picture taken by bastien
it got reallly cold outside waiting for the train. i was actually wishing i wore warm boots like everyone else & not my flip flops.
they passed out cookies & hot chocolate. . cute face japs!
they said the train was built in the 1920's, so the windows were super old looking.
once we got to the north pole (I didnt take pics of it) Santa came on the train & gave each kid a bell. (i forgot to take pics of that, too) but here's a picture of the kids with their bells still mesmerized after seeing Santa.
on the way home they had some old snow on the side of the road. our kids have never seen snowso we pulled over & played in the slushie ice. i remember being the same age as bastien when i first experienced snow in northern cali. our family pulled over & i remember my feet being frozen cause i only had sandals. i think the kids had more fun here than on the train.
my sister's family is going to Utah for Christmas, so my family had a Christmas party on Friday & Ana (the nice aunt) bought all the kids these blankets.
this is the first year we've done a gingerbread house
bastien was playing with steven's ipod & i thought this looked pretty cute.
a month or so ago we went to steven's old stomping grounds to watch helicopters & planes. oh & good news!..steven is a pilot again! he has been flying helicopters for the past while..he gets to fly switzers & rotorway helicopters a bunch, (which gives him what he needs, hours!) & we're excited he's finally getting his foot back in the door of the helicopter industry. its been a long 2 years, but he said its like riding a bike. i'm so happy he's getting to do what he loves again!

little name theif
Apparently, I cant read a book while i'm pregnant without stealing a name from it for my future kid(s). So here i go again. Finnick was an awesome character from Hunger Games & has an even cooler name, so naturally, my 4th boy shall have his name. I guess I should send these authors thank you notes for naming my kids for me. This was the only thing keeping me from hoping it was a girl. I was sad that I wouldnt get to use Finnick if we didnt have any more boys. I cant wait to see what this little man looks like. It was reassuring to finally see him, since i havent been feeling his kicks except for tiny ones every couple of days. The reason is the placenta is in front instead of in back, so it cushions alot of his kicks. Its funny when you find out you're having your 4th boy, everyone is like "Oh" in a pitying sort of way, when you say its another boy! ha! i'm really excited actually. My house will be full of funny boys like their dad instead of whiny girls like me. No matter what Bastien says, Finnick. We dont have too many boys & we cant wait to meet you!

howloween

i figured while the twins are still little enough not to care what they are for halloween, they should be their "names" while i can get away with it! I wanted Bastien to be a vampire so bad, he would've looked way cool as one with his hair... but he wouldnt buy it. With Embry's, I luckily found a star wars wookie costume at savers for 9 bucks that was a size 8 for kids, but i cut it down to his size & sewed cutoff jean shorts to try to stick to the embry character. when i was done, steven said it looked like a bear costume with shorts..so i added a ripped up shirt as well. I made a headband with ears out of the leftover fur & I love how it went with his little head of curls. For Jasper's vampire costume, obviously i couldnt make him a true cullen vampire because he wouldnt look like anything & the costume would be a bit boring. So i added some tradtional vampire to it. I tried to do his hair Cullenish. & saw this saying online & made a shirt out of it.
The cape was a pain to make & you cant really see the whole thing in these pictures, but i wanted him to have one that wasnt a cheap umbrella material one you'd find at walmart. i will never sew stretchy satin again, though! i was so worried that things wouldnt turn out like i wanted but i was happy with the end..i already have a whole theme planned for next year..so everyone better be on board!

we went trick or treating with the berkey's again this year..they're fun trick or treating friends!nicole made her kids costumes, too. I loved the Robin costume, & everyone got a kick out of jorgen's ghost costume..he was adamant about it being a charlie brown ghost & you just dont see this costume anymore! he was entertaining to watch, he'd stand by a bush thinking it was a person with candy.

halloween party
we partied with some friends & had an awesome costume turnout! we even had lady gaga in her meat dress, audrey hepburn, flo from progressive, a tongan lady (not me), & zach galifinakis from the hangover! we played minute to win it games which basically makes everyone look like fools, but thats the fastest way to have a fun party. i only took pictures when it wasnt my round to play, so you'll just see the same people playing in these pics:) we had lotsa fun, thanks berkeys for hosting!

steven won this one, this is him(or her) barely catching the oreo in his mouth
