Last Thursday we had a St. Patrick's Day party for the kids. We had them follow a leprachaun's tracks to a pot of gold. And had a pinata made out of a box of lucky charms. (when I told this to Amy she thought the actual cereal was going to be in the box. Wouldnt that be so messed up?

So, yes. There was candy in it!)

Its almost been a year since we've had a kid-less vacation. So we were so excited to be able to get to go to Vegas! On Friday night we ate at the Bellagio buffet and my favorite was the mushroom ravioli and the pretzel rolls. Then we walked the strip, we saw the Treasure Island show, which Steven says is WAY different from when he was 14. nOw it's a trampy hooker pirate show. Then went into madame whatever's wax museum. It was nuts how real they looked, especially in some of these pictures. We were on the strip until about midnight and people were starting to get entertaining to watch. We sat in front of the Bellagio waiting to meet up with our friends and this guy came up to me and asked me if I was high and steven's like "yeah she just ate a pot brownie" and he's like "nuh uh! Wanna trade?!" and he shoves marajuana in my face to smell. Then we had some drunk kids who were the most entertaining come up and ask us to be in a picture with them. Good times.

On Saturday, we went to the shark reef at mandalay bay and there were some way cool animals there. like an octopus and jellyfish. I'd never seen those before. I loved this crocodile's mohawk tail.

My BIG payout! I put a dollar in the penny slots and came out with 2.01! What can I say, I'm just lady luck in Vegas.

most of you who know Bastien know that he says his 'ERE" sounds like "ARR" like

"Come harr: come here" Or he says "You ScARRed me!"

I was trying to get him to say HERE the right way and he would make a face similar to this picture and say "heeeerrree...arrr" He had to add the arr in it. It just didnt sound right to him without the arr at the end.

-Bastien said to me once, genuinely curious:

"Is Embry a human? Or a creature?"

We saw a lady dressed up as a clown driving yesterday. And Bastien said "When I'm a big human, I want to wear a clown costume, and drive around scarring people"

When Steven was putting Bastien to bed yesterday, he was telling Bastien how he loved his hair and wanted it. Steven said "I'm gonna shave all your hair off when your sleeping" And Bastien said "No, never..cause I'll look like Brian!" (sorry if your reading this Brian. he mustve seen a picture of you with a shaved head!)

Bastien randomly said to me

"I dont eat my boogers anymore"

Me: "What do you do with them now?" B: " I just throw them somewhere"

It was a cold weekend for camping! It was the babies first time and they did so good at night, I was shocked. I had to keep putting my hands on their face to make sure they werent frozen solid. I guess it was only 40 degrees, still I was too frozen to sleep and my bladder was about to burst. But I was too scared to go pee in the dark. Finally I heard Steven getting up and somehow we all ended up getting warm in the Berkey's car at 3 in the am. It seems kind of messed up that we were in the nice warm car while the kids were in the chilly tent. But they were actually sleeping!

the babies were however, not happy the next morning. Their hands were frozen and kept getting upset. I bundled them up with big blankets, but until the sun came out they were pretty upset. I love their faces right here. We were laughing so hard at Jasper, his poor hand was shaking while he was trying to bring the poptart to his mouth to take a bite.

Despite being chilly, we had so much fun! We made smores with the kids while a peach cobbler baked in a dutch oven. It was so yummy, and thats all I used was a yellow cake mix, a can of diet 7-up, and a big can of peaches! For breakfast we cooked sausauge gravy to pour over biscuits in the dutch oven and it was way better than I thought it would turn out! Eating while camping is the best isnt it?

On Thursday we had a Valentines Party for the kids. I was so excited about them picking and passing out Valentines since I remember it being so fun in school! I love how creative (the moms) got in decorating the mailboxes. Mine was just a wrapped shoe box but Bastien is easy to please. :)

Food really does bring people together. If I give them snacks they always sit together on the floor really cute-like.

Yesterday I made heart sugar cookies with the kids..

...it's a shame they were a little too good and now I am on major damage control for the 10 I ate last night. Lets eat til we throw up! Hope everyone had a hot valentines day.

Embry has had some good times with the binky.

...so good that if he realizes its not around, things will go downhill pretty fast.

Embry was such a cute little binky boy...

but its time to say goodbye. It kind of makes me feel sad, like he's not a baby anymore.

He's been without it for a few days now. The first night he cried for about an hour, I'm suprised at how well he's gone to bed without it since. He's a little bit on the grouchy side (all day long) without it. But I'm sure he'll get over it:) Embs is my only binky baby! One thing I will miss is when I would say "It's time for bed" Embry would say "noo!" and then I would say "I'll give you your binky if you get in bed" and his face would light up and he'd run to his bed. Or how 1 binky was never enough. He'd carry around as many as he could find and sometimes walk around with 2 in his mouth at the same time. Cute huh?

But I'm glad we get to see more of his cute mouth now:)
