Biggest Loser Finale trip!!!!!

Probably the most fun and coolest experience I've ever had! Steven and I drove to LA on Sunday and got to our hotel around 5pm. When we got to Downtown LA we saw Jesus of all people standing over a freeway overpass. LA really has some crazies. (This is the pic I took and it turned out very creepy)

We stayed at a hotel like right in the middle of Koreatown or there's a Tokyotown somewhere around there too so I'm not sure which one it was. But it was actually a pretty nice hotel for the area it was in. My parents, Ana and Mary and her family all stayed in it too..My brother Vuna couldnt make it since he just got an awesome new job as a SCiEnTiSt (seriously!) All that hard schooling paid off:) But he was definitely missed at the Finale..the trip wouldve been ALOT of fun with him!

On Monday we were supposed to maybe get to tour the Biggest Loser Ranch. But Sione's schedule ended up being really full with the rehearsal of the finale. So we went to Santa Monica Pier and walked around (not much to see there) and then we ate at the Bubba Gump on the pier and it was soo good! Then we went to that shopping center Promenade and it was really fun to walk around ....and see the crazy people that show up there. I heard this girl singing that I thought was just on the radio on the speakers around us..but she was actually singing there with her guitar. Her name is Chelsea Williams. She has such a clear pretty voice!

Later Monday night we went to the hotel where all the contestants were staying and everyone was in the lobby. It was cool to meet everyone. It's weird seeing them all this time on tv and then hearing a bunch of stuff about them..you feel like you kinda know them already. Here are some pics I got:

Tuesday morning we woke up and Steven and I went jogging (with a silent j) at the beach near Santa Monica. It was really fun! I wish I could jog there everyday. Then we left around 1:30 pm to go to the Studio where they were filming the finale. We waited for about 5 years outside before we were able to go in the actual studio. But it was kinda fun to just hang out and talk to my cousins and Dane's sisters Brandi, Dendi and Tawni. I loved it that we had family and friends there that we already knew! We finally got seated and the place was really small so you couldnt have a bad seat. It was so weird actually being there once it was getting started. It was so much fun and I had alot of energy ..but standing and cheering for 3 hours is exhausting! It was so exciting to finally see Sione and Filipe come out. I watched that part on tv today and I was bummed it didnt really show Sione do the moonwalk when he walked up to Allison. We didnt see Bob and Jillian in person until about an hour and a half into the show! That was the best part. I must say I'm not a fan of Jillian but she is so pretty in person...at least from far away cause I never met her. (didnt really care to) Oh, and Allison Sweeney is like.. gorgeous in person! Whenever it was commercial breaks Bob would keep doing the haka dance moves towards our section...he's really funny! I was sooo happy Jerry won the 100k! But, I soo wanted Tara or Mike to win. Helen looked a little unhealthy but whatever. Even though I obviously wish Sione or Filipe won the 100k, I'm just glad someone who deserved to win (Jerry) won something.

-the one on the left (Hehea) is the one I've been weighing in with every Tuesday and she's lost 35 pounds! And my cousin Fotui on the right just came home last week from her mission to the Phillipines!

I asked Hehea if she wanted to take a picture with Mike with me and she's like "No, I still hate him" Then Fotui said she'd go with me to take a picture with him.. As much as I didnt like Ron for some of his manipulative ways or even Mike for a couple of episodes...that part was just a game ..and its over! Ron actually seems like a pretty nice guy and Mike seems really cool and laid back. Can you tell I'm so tired in this picture? Well, I wasnt...I was exhausted! Hea told me my eyes were closed in half of her pictures! haha burnt!

Laura and Tara (before the pic Hea and Fotui went up to Tara and said "We're Filipe's sisters" and Tara hugged them for like 2 minutes.) As much as she kinda bugged me in the show (with how she always acted like Laura was pulling her down)...she seems pretty cool and lets face it: She's a machine and she's definitely inspiring!

One on one time

Steven recently got called to nursery, he can take one of the twins with him which is nice..but that leaves me walking around the halls by myself with the other one. (Just like everyone else with a pre-nursery kid, right?) The first Sunday Steven went to nursery I went home with Jasper and made Steven a cheesecake for his bday so he could be suprised when we got home from church. It was so nice to spend that little time with JUST Jasper. It made me remember the days when it was just me and Bastien every day and that just seems so strange to me now!

I was excited to spend the next Sunday with JuST EMbry and I. I took him home and fed him lunch and he was so cute playing in Bastien's room. I could tell he was livin it up because Bastien monitors everything the babies touch of his and I'm sure that gets annoying to the twins! I even asked Embry "Do you like playing by yourself in Bastien's room?" And he nodded his head yes. (He does that to everything but I still thought it was cute:) It was like almost 1pm in this picture so thats why he fell asleep while he was eating. My kids never fall asleep anywhere except for their beds so I always get really excited when it happens and have to take a picture.

Dont you hate it when they fall asleep for 5 minutes on the way home and then when you get home and put them in their crib they act like they'd been sleeping for 2 hours and wont nap! Well Embry is the worst with this! Whenever Embry starts to fall asleep in the car and we're almost home I always talk to him and tickle him and he'll just laugh with his eyes closed...and I'm like "Embry!!! Dont fall asleep!!! " And then he gives me the stink eye like he's really annoyed at me cause I just wont let him sleep, dangit!

I realize I'll be considered inactive if I do this every Sunday....what about every other Sunday?

What can he NOT do?

Steven is amazing! Okay...so our van needs to get emissions before we can get the registration we needed like, yesterday. But the service engine light went on and you wont pass emissions until that goes off. He took the van to someone today and they said he just needed a tune up and if he replaced the spark plugs the light would turn off. Oh, and that it would be 300 dollars because the spark plugs are SOOO hard to get to in Astro Vans...HA! Yeah right. So Steven being the crazy 'do it yourselfer' that he is, went and bought spark plugs and basically crawled into the engine of our van looking for the spark plugs. Here he is about 2 hours later:

Oh and guess what light went off right ? ..the 'service engine' light! He said that "they couldnt have made those little bitches harder to get to" (his words) and that he was gettin claustrophobic..(I wouldve taken pics of him stuck in there but I was inside watching all the sleeping babes:) We would be out 300 bucks if it werent for this handyman.

Seriously...what would I do without him?

Abortion survivor (worth the watch)

I got a forward about this lady who survived an abortion as a baby that was performed at 7.5 months. They put saline solution in her mothers womb , and it basically tried to burn her alive..in result of that she was born with cerebral palsey. You have to watch these videos, if you've got some time. The first 2 are of her speech.

But the third video is one I found of a nurse who used to work for a hospital where they did partial birth abortions and the nurses would put the babies in a linen room to die by themselves. The nurse said she held one of the babies who was born at 21 weeks for his 45 minutes of short life. I was in tears the whole time watching this..and its really hard to watch. I cant believe it's actually happening in this country. I cant believe people think that they have a "right" to do this. Also, I cant believe that Obama voted to keep this bill 4 times! You cant really "mistake" what your voting for that many times. I loved what this woman said, she said something like

"If this was about Women's rights...where were mine?"

Ward Campout

This is a little late but last weekend we went to the ward campout. I wanted to go cause it was being held at Camp Lomia. It was at the West camp..which i'd never been to before, but it was still fun. We brought a tent but I wanted to stay in a cabin because I knew it would be freezing...and oh it was. In the middle of the night Bastien jumped in to my bed and we shared the sleeping bag the rest of the night. It wasnt very comfortable..but camping never is I guess. We didnt really stay very long the next morning. I wanted to drive over to camp orchard and show Steven where all my girls camp memories were. He was suprisingly interested. His mom was our camp craft lady one year and I told him how my cousin told his mom (before Steven and I started dating) that I thought her son was cute. And she said "all my sons are handsome" in her little girl voice:) Steven was so cute cause he wanted to see the craft cabin and he went inside and walked around the empty cabin. I can tell he really misses his mom sometimes. EDIT* You know what..is a while after I wrote this I remembered that three years ago today Steven's mom died. Thats like straight outta the twilight zone yo! Here are some pics from the trip, my mom was awesome and babysat the twins for a night so we could have fun with Bastien. Most of my family knows that Bastien can be a handful around other kids and is a feisty little thing. But he is awesome one on one. He turns into the sweetest talkative little boy. My sister Ana told me that Bastien was meant to be an only child. :) Bastien is such a fun little boy. I think his sweet side is the real Bastien and he's just a frustrated little 3 year old right now who wants to be big like his big cousins:) We had so much fun camping with Bastien! I could tell he was loving the alone time with Steven and I. The pics arent in order:
