Embry Jasper Well this is Ana(Salena's sister) if any of you are wondering ...about the fast blog..on Salena's part.. she is doing great.. still recovering and the boys are amazing ...just like their MOMMY and Daddy.. I love em..and was sad to go.. but I know Salena needed her rest.. So I will be back ... soon hopefully .. I don't know how long she will be there but i'll find out .. 

Today I was watching "Willy Wonka" (the old version) with Bastien and it was the beginning where the candy store guy is singing "...the candy man can....." and then it shows Charlie looking in the window at everyone. And I was like "He's sad, he wants some candy" And Bastien's all...

"His mommy have no money"

I DIED laughing because.... whenever he wants candy at the store or sees gumball machines, I always say "Sorry, I dont have any money". I love this kid. He has the funniest personality! I'm sure gonna miss him this week when I'm at the hospital!

24. Who has the best group of friends? We dont really have "groups" of friends anymore. We usually just hang out at home with eachother or with family.

My sister Ana made this way cool header for our family blog. She is a genious in the digital scrapbooking department. I hope you dont care Ana, that I'm putting it on my blog, too. But I LOVE it! It has almost everyone on it! (Except Sione's kids Maizi & Soakai, and future Embry and Jasper)

Good Update!

Well I took Bastien back to the doctors on Thursday and his ears were still pretty bad so they had to give him a shot on his bottom! (It was so sad, but cute...how he keeps telling me they "poked my bum" and he says " I sad" ) But he seems to be doing MUCH better and he's back to his normal energetic self! He has to get an xray in a week to make sure his chest is better. Also the doctor said he should be just fine around the babies since he'll almost be done with his antibiotics by then!

But, THANKS for all your advice guys....it really did HELP!

It's seems crazy but my next post will probably be pics of Embry and Jasper! Yeah! I'm SO excited to meet them! I will try to hurry and put some pics up after they're born. I dont know how many days I'll be in the hospital. With Bastien it was 5 days. Hopefully this time it's less. But, If I cant get to a computer, i'll try to have one of my sisters post some pictures.

(Yay! I'm so excited to feel like a normal human again! And walk on normal feet.... and not these fluid-filled elephant feet. And most of all....get some feeling back in my fingers!)

What the HECK?!?!

I have been really LUCKY with Bastien. He's always been such a healthy boy! He's had like 2 ear infections his whole life and when he has a cold or a runny nose it lasts like 2 days...up until now at least....

Bastien has had a cold the past couple weeks. I took him in the week after Christmas and they said he just had an eye infection. Well somewhere in between there and last Friday he got a BAD ear infection. Cause his cough got pretty bad last Friday and he had a fever. So I took him back in and they gave him Omnicef for an ear infection in his right ear. Well his fever NEVER went away from Thursday until Monday afternoon. It was staying in between 101.5- 103. So...I took him to urgent care Monday evening and his oxygen levels were pretty low and they took an x-ray to check for pneumonia. They did a breathing treatment and that made his oxygen levels go back up. And the doctor said he had 2 infected ears! Anyways, she changed his antibiotic to Biaxin and sent him home with that breathing treatment machine. They told me he didnt have pneumonia but his lungs looked a little "cloudy"..so I should continue the breathing treatments.

So they call today and say the results came back positive and he DOES in fact have PNEUMONIA!! (sp?) Poor guy!

Also..isnt this just PERFECT TIMING?! ..Isnt Pnuemonia really contagious? I dont know what to do about the babies? (not to mention I had strep throat 2 weeks ago, and now I am on antibiotics for a sinus infection! I dont want to get the babies sick either!)

I asked my insurance about those RSV shots and they dont cover them unless the babies are born at 35 weeks or less. And they are like 1000 dollars a shot! I'm bummed too, cause Bastien probably cant come see the babies in the hospital! What am I gonna do? How am I gonna keep Bastien away from the babies until he's better?

single digits!

I cant believe I only have 9 days left! Now it seems SO close! I just got my letter from the hospital saying I have to be at Banner Gateway at 5:30am on the 28th! I'm glad I wont be so out of it this time. Last c/section..I had just gone through 18 hours of labor and 2 long, HARD hours of pushing! I am uncomfortable, BUT I'm kinda nervous about everything so I'll take being uncomfortable for now, so I can get like... mentally prepared..if thats at all possible! I think the main thing bothering me right now is I have that "Gestational carpal tunnel" thing and it's SO annoying! It used to just be at night my arms and hands would fall asleep and get all sore. But the past week, all my fingers stay numb throughout the day and basically my WHOLE left hand is numb! I hope it's not one of those things that stays with me..like the huge numb spot on my leg I still have from Bastien's pregnancy. Oh well, these kids are SO worth it! We went grocery shopping last night and I was telling Steven, that this will be basically our LAST "normal" shopping trip at Walmart. Next time we all go as a family it will be ALOT crazier and ......the whole twin thing. People seem to be obsessed with multiple babies. That wont bother me until strangers start coming up and TOUCHING them.

On Friday, we went to Williams Gateway and watched Steven land after his flight.

Then afterwards, Bastien got to sit in the helicopter!

6 pounders!

So yesterday at my ultrasound I found out the babies both weigh a little over SIX pounds! If I last these next 2 weeks I might end up with 14-15 pounds of BABY! That is CrAzY! Also after my ultrasound I saw Dr. Dowswell and he said he was gonna check me and if I was dialated some he might move the c-section date earlier. I was SO excited...then while I sat waiting for him to come in. I thought about how I like sleeping at night..and how I am enjoying eating whatever the crap I want and not feeling guilty about it. And maybe I would just rather wait the 2 weeks. Because come Jan 28th there isnt going to be very much sleeping on my end, and I have big plans for losing weight after they come!

Well he checked me and my cervix is completely closed and he said I havent even "dropped" yet! I couldnt decide if I was bummed or relieved! Also, he will be out of town for a seminar the 21st-27th! And my c/section is Jan 28th! I hope I dont go into labor when he's gone! But he said if it did happen, I'd have Dr. Huish. Which is the OB who delivered my sister in law Jenny's twin girls. So at least I know I'm in good hands.

* Also the ultrasound tech showed me that twin B has alot of hair! that's exciting cause Bastien was mostly bald!

SILLY Bastien

Steven's sisters and family from Ogden came down forthe holidays ..his sister Christine got some funny stuff on tape. This one is of Bastien doing all the faces that we tell him to do all the time. The one I will post later is the BEST one...but I have to have Christine resend it, cause it wouldnt work.

Christmas

Christmas Eve, Bastien had a fever ..so we were kinda bummed out cause I had stuff planned for him, like frosting Santa's cookies and letting him open a present. But at like 7pm he was saying "tired"and "bed" and I asked if he wanted to go to bed and he's all "yeah" :(

I was hoping his fever would go away by the morning..but it didnt. He was really grumpy when he woke up. But we showed him the presents under the tree....and he cheered up right away!

I had been telling Bastien weeks before Christmas that we were going to leave cookies for Santa to eat. Since Bastien went to bed before we had a chance to frost them and leave them out...I didnt think he'd get it when he saw a plate of half eaten cookies out. But before we even said anything..he's all "Santa eat!" He's so smart! :)

We had a big lunch at Steven's sisters house. And then we had a big dinner at my parents later that night...so basically..I ate way too much on Christmas!

No, I'm not obsessed with Twilight....I think

I have fallen out of love with the name River. Steven and I were talking about what names we liked and Steven mentioned that he really liked the name Jasper. I was like, "People are going to think we are way too obsessed with Twilight"

But It's not that I like the names BECAUSE of the book. I just happened to really like them while reading the books. :) (If that makes sense!)

So Steven is really stuck on the name Jasper. And it grew on me over the past couple weeks. So the twins new names are:

Embry and Jasper

Graduation!

Steven is finally DONE with Helicopter school! He went to Oregon yesterday to take his final test to become an instructor. His test was today and he just called me a couple hours ago to tell me he passed!!!!!

But now he will start applying to different silver state schools in the US to work as an instructor. There is a huge waiting list for the school here at William's Gateway airport. :( But I hope somehow we can stay here. We'd both rather stay here in AZ. So, basically we have NO idea where we are gonna move, right now. We obviously cant go anywhere until after the babies are born...plus some time after that for me to heal and adjust to this new life I'm about to approach:) So it'll probably be around March. But Steven and I are SO Excited that he's finally finished with school!

* Also, Congrats to Dawn's hubby, Ryan Davis who went with Steven this weekend to take his CFI test as well.

Bastien was SO excited this year about Santa. I thought maybe he'd get scared of him, but he wasnt. He actually looked at the camera and even smiled for me when I said "Smile, Bastien" ! I love how he is touching Santa's hand...Oh, and we just showed him that movie "Polar Express" I havent seen him this glued to a movie since he first saw "Cars". It has 2 of Bastien's favorites...Trains and Santa!

By the way, I had my dr. appt today and both babies weigh 4 and a half pounds! I cant believe I have 9 pounds of baby in me and still 5 more weeks to go!

There are 2 in there....I promise!

Everyone keeps telling me that it doesnt look like I'm having twins. But this is me 7 months with Bastien. And this is me 7 months now! (..gross swollen face...yuck...I cant wait to NOT be pregnant anymore!)

Temple lights

Bastien makes us stop in front of every house in our neighborhood that has lights when we're on our way home. He went crazy when we took him to the lights at the temple!

38 weeks!

I had to add 7 days to my little countdown thingee :( At my appointment on Thursday we set a date and the doctor told me 37 weeks in the beginning. But he changed it to 38 weeks! So my official csection date is January 28th. Oh well, I'm not too upset cause I guess the longer they're baking in there the better, right? I just hope my back doesnt break before then!

They (finally) chose an EDWARD!!!

I've been checking Stephenie Meyer's website almost everyday to see if they've chosen an Edward..and finally the wait is over!

Robert Pattinson ..he was Cedric Diggory in Harry POtter 4! I loved him in that movie! Once again, I never thought of him for the role of Edward, but I am pleasantly suprised.

He is pretty enough to be Edward and looks like he can have Edward's scary/dangerous side too:)

Here's what Stephenie Meyer said about him playing Edward:

Baby update

Today I had another ultrasound but I forgot to bring my CD so I couldnt get them saved on my disc. But basically it was a normal checkup. They both weigh 3 1/2 pounds. They've always weighed almost the same exact amount, which I'm told is a good thing. Baby A (Embry) is breech, which doesnt matter in my case cause I have to have a csection anyways. But, that's why I've been feeling constant kicks on my bladder! My cervix is long and closed..good:) I hear most preterm labor medicine makes you feel so sick and nauseous! I'm really thankful that I'm not having any problems with preterm labor because Steven has to go to Oregon for 3 days towards the end of this month to take his final test for school. And bedrest would suck so bad. So far, this has been a pretty easy pregnancy for me considering it's twins. But, I have 7 pounds of baby in me right now...get back to me when I have 12 or 13 pounds of baby in me..i'm sure I'll feel different.

(note: NOT my belly...obviously, I wish this was my belly..I'm not one of those lucky sons of....who dont get stretch marks.)

my christmas list.....

We arent planning on having a big christmas this year because Steven has to go to Oregon this month to take his CFI checkride (his final test for school). And thats gonna be a pretty expensive trip, plus the test costs 700 dollars just to take! So I'm not really expecting anything for Christmas. BUT.... I watched the whole infomercial today on this "CriCUT" machine. It's an electronic cutting machine that cuts out letters, designs and can even do vinyl lettering! I've been thinking about starting scrapbooking up again (even though it seems so overwhelming with all my pictures!) But this would really make it fun. And, I think and cheaper, too.
